Our mission at Denton County Friends of the Family (DCFOF) is to provide compassionate, comprehensive services to those impacted by rape, sexual abuse, and domestic violence, while partnering with our community to promote safety, hope, healing, justice, and prevention.

We welcome another repeat supporter for Battle of the Badges., April Roppolo. Although growing up in the foster care system, April was determined to break the cycle and dedicated her life to public service. She retired after 30 years as a Dallas and Highland Village police officer. She made positive impacts in her community such as a SRO, Marcus HS mentor, taught “DARE” (Drug Awareness Resistance Education) and an advocate for animal rescues, just to name a few. Corporal April Roppolo received the first ever “Heroes of Denton County Lifetime Achievement Award” and has a room named after her at the Childrens Advocacy Center. WOW! It’s doesn’t get any better than this! Way to go April!
